Job Description

Position: Clinical Christian Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LPCC, LMSW or LCSW)

Are you a compassionate and experienced counselor seeking to integrate your Christian faith into your counseling? Center Counseling is seeking a Christian Counselor (LPC, LPCC, LMSW, or LCSW) to join our team. Our goal is to provide training and support to existing Christian Counselors or counselors who are Christians who are currently working in counseling positions that would like to transition into a role that incorporates both faith and best clinical practices. We offer six-months of training and ongoing coaching in Christian Counseling techniques and best practices.

As a Christian Counselor, you will have the unique opportunity to guide individuals to find hope and healing in Christ while integrating Christian principles and other best practices into therapy. By utilizing your expertise in counseling and your understanding of the Bible, you will provide Christ-centered care to our clients. You’ll get to collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals who share your passion for helping clients grow in their faith and achieve emotional well-being and true freedom from what burdens them.

Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Maintain a balanced life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Family first!

  • Come into your week sufficiently rested in order to do good therapy and relationships well.

  • Bring your best into your sessions, with professional preparation and compassionate presence.

  • Complete your intake notes, treatment plans, and progress notes by the end of your work week.

  • A personal community engagement component is part of our culture. Up to 3 hours per week/20 weeks per year. Teaching a class, leading a support group, give presentations, etc. We empower you to do your passion– in the community. 

Our relational work culture:

  • We do a flexible four-day workweek.  Generally, Monday through Thursday 9 am to 4 pm. You are expected to complete 14-20 sessions per week on average, 48 weeks a year, and up to 25 sessions per week, if you desire. 

  • Begin your week at 9:10 am on Monday with a 40 minute all-staff attunement time to connect.

  • Wednesday morning case staffing opportunity weekly.

  • Thursday, 4:00 pm all-staff end-of-week celebration—often apps closeby.  However, we love to explore new restaurants!

Our self-care minded compensation culture:

  • We have individual offices decorated to each of our own taste for a comfortable feel for us and our clients. (There is a budget for you to customize your office)

Your Support Systems 

We empower you and get obstacles out of your way, so you can focus on doing great therapy and doing relational community engagement.

  • We actively advertise you and use social media and our website to promote you.

  • We use the most up-to-date software, including Therapy Notes, Spruce, and others. We answer our phones with a live, friendly, receptionist.

  • We do your insurance credentialing and renewals.  You are responsible for keeping your license and CEUs current.

  • We do your billing and rebilling.  We collect copays and deductibles so you don’t have to.

  • We do your initial scheduling, and your client’s paperwork is completed online through a Patient Portal.  You have instant access from anywhere. We watch to see it is completed.

  • Client scheduling is done collaboratively after that: by you in session, 24/7 by client through Patient Portal, at our reception desk upon departure, or through text, phone call, or contact form.

  • We pay 50% for your CEUs and conferences – a generous yearly allowance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or Clinical Social Work,

  • Current North Dakota license as an LPC, LPCC, or LCSW. (other licenses considered)

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing counseling services.

  • Strong understanding of Christian principles and the ability to integrate Biblical faith into therapy effectively. We will also train you in this area. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Peacemaker and relational.
