For your emotional,
spiritual, and
mental health

We all have periods in life that are more difficult than other times. It is during these times we need to be in community, reach out to others, and not do life alone. Counseling can be a part of that community, even if it is just for a while. Many people find counseling helps them find the direction they are seeking and they often experience healing from their past hurts.

Conventional and Christian Counseling

We believe that we were created in the image of a triune God, that we are multi-faceted and complex human beings, and we are both uniquely designed, yet mysterious. Rather than treating surface symptoms, we work to address the root issue, such as soul wounds and heart issues. This process can only happen in a safe and nurturing environment. We practice counseling from a Christian perspective and believe that healing only comes from Jesus. However, we are sensitive to everyone’s faith journey. We are clinically sound, investing in continuing education and training to provide a variety of reliable therapeutic interventions to our clients.

Anxiety

FEELINGS THAT MAKES US WITHDRAW

In life, it is perfectly healthy to strategize and schedule to avoid situations that stress or cause us tension. When that becomes too frequent, intrusive thoughts become overwhelming, or we struggle to do things with a normal amount of courage, then we might be experiencing anxiety. It is good to look for help. Counseling, exercise, medication, or rest can help you overcome anxious feelings that make you want to withdraw. You are not alone with this struggle, and you can learn to manage it, and even overcome it.

Depression

FEELINGS THAT MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO LIVE

In life, when we experience low feelings and need time alone, it is normal to rest, reflect, recover, and recharge our batteries. When those low feelings come more frequently and last for a long time, making it difficult to do the regular things in our life, then we might be experiencing depression. Periods of depression are a common part of a person’s life, but it is often a hidden part because we don’t know how to share it with family or friends. Depression is a journey that is not meant to be taken alone, yet this is often where we find ourselves. Counseling can help you not be alone and discover how to overcome.

Trauma and PTSD

EVENTS FROM OUR PAST STILL BOTHER US

Trauma is those things that happen to us or that we witness that we may be unable to control or stop. It makes us feel unsafe, confused, or emotionally wounded. Trauma can be over short-term or long-term, a single event or many events. We can respond with unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. Trauma can be effectively treated with counseling. You deserve to have the help you need to overcome what never should have happened to you.

Life Changes and Challenges

WHEN LIFE TAKES AN UNEXPECTED TURN

Whether it is because of our choices, the choices of others, or things outside our ability to foresee, life changes can really throw us off and cause confusion and strain. Grief, relationship changes, sickness, loss of job, confusion on life direction or meaning…all these things can lead to a strain inside of us that is hard to bear. Sometimes we need to talk through these things and process with someone out loud. Counseling can be one of those safe places to process with someone who is patient and understanding and has some tools for you to get though this part of your journey.
